That, he said, is the best way to prepare actors for sex scenes -- declare a nude day and lead by example. His new film, The Idiots, famously includes an explicit penetration scene, which makes it illegal for it to be shown uncensored at cinemas in this country. Many people have found the film's subject matter even more offensive than its bristling erections: The Idiots is about a group of educated people who spend their lives pretending they are spastics, "spassas", spassing about to find their inner idiot, an unadulterated purity.
