The destruction of this church has been Satan's goal from the beginning of the world, for he also hates the church's King, and the church's God! Persecution and chastisement will come upon us, too! Often we wonder why God does not immediately realize His promises to save His people and destroy our enemies; and we often wonder if God may have forgotten His promise. But none are outside the range of a loving sovereign God.
